New Adventures: Session Zero in Greywinds Guide To Tharador!

BIG DAY TODAY!

Dear Adventurers, Tinkerers, and Downtime Enthusiasts,

Today I have Session Zero with an awesome new D&D group of all adult women! We’re diving into The Greywinds Guide to Tharador by DM Stash, using the new 2024 rules for the first time. I’m SO excited to see what this combo brings to the table. There’s nothing like starting fresh with a brand-new group and a cool setting. Hello Coronado Brewing Company and your huge tables!

I’ll be playing an Awakened, which is a human variant from the book. They’re basically humans touched by magic or divine forces, and they’ve got some really fun mechanics to play with. On top of that, I’m trying out the book’s Psionic class, which is all about using mental power to mess with the world—think telekinesis, mind tricks, all that good stuff. It’s going to push me creatively, and I’m ready for the challenge.

Session Zero is always one of my favorite parts of D&D. It’s where we lay the groundwork—our characters meet, we figure out backstories, and we set expectations for the campaign. Playing with an all-adult group is such a bonus because everyone brings so much energy, experience, and snack game to the table (yes, snacks are important).

I’ll share updates as we get rolling, especially how the new rules feel and what shenanigans our group gets up to. If you’ve tried the 2024 rules or this campaign setting, let me know—I’m always looking for tips and fun ideas!
