Erika is a scientist-turned-tabletop creator who splits her time between lab benches and battle maps. She helped build a biotech company as Director of Laboratory Operations, leading microscopy programs and setting high bars for image quality; her work in human stem cell research and imaging appears in peer-reviewed publications, and she previously served as a microscopist at the Whitehead Institute at M.I.T. Off the clock, she designs practical, good-looking game mats and tools, and writes and runs original D&D adventures—welcoming to new players, satisfying for veterans. She volunteers with women’s D&D organizations, serves on the board of a local nonprofit bringing D&D to kids and teens in schools, and was recently invited to the West Coast Adventures Guild Writers’ Guild to contribute games for conventions around the country.
